Old Paper Mill Subdivision was developed during the late 1970s through the 1980s. Our neighborhood has 154 homes bounded by Paper Mill Road on the north, Sibley Forest and the Chattahoochee National Forest on the east, and south and Terrell Mill Road on the west.
We are conveniently located in East Cobb County with easy access to Interstate 285 (the Perimeter) and to Interstate 75. One of the most prized features of Old Paper Mill is its neighborhood school, Sope Creek Elementary, and the higher Cobb County Board of Education schools including Wheeler High School. Another beautiful draw to our neighborhood is the Chattahoochee National Park. Within this park system is Sope Creek Park, which is within walking distance, offering miles of hiking, mountain biking and running trails and the historic multi-story ruins of Sope Creek paper mill.
Our neighborhood offers wonderful amenities to its HOA members including a clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts and a playground. (See Our
Amenities.) The neighborhood also has numerous neighborhood friendly activities, both for adults and children.
Many of these activities are organized by the OPM Social Club. The Social Club is dedicated to improving the overall quality of life in the neighborhood through social gatherings and family functions. Some of these activities include a St. Patrick's Day party, Easter egg hunt, back-to-school/ end-of-school pool parties, and December holiday party.
Outside of the Social Club sponsored activities, there are kids' tennis lessons offered throughout the year, ALTA tennis teams, Bible study, a book club, a partnership with the Sibley Forest Swim Team, and many other activities for adults and children.
